Your host, Captain Dag Hanssen started his career in the Norwegian Merchant Marine, sailing around the world on tankers and bulk carriers, but eventually made his way to the Caribbean where he become a live aboard sailboat bum on a 44’ Bermuda Racer Yawl.

 

He later moved to Florida and worked as a Yacht Captain and also sailed his CSY sailboat to the Bahamas numerous times on days off.

 

He holds a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master License, PADI Master and Rescue Divers tickets and a Twin engine Commercial Sea Plane License.

He has also worked as a Fire Fighter, Taxi and Truck driver as well as an Alaska Bush Pilot and Airline Captain on B-747 aircraft.
